Our Journey to Re-Opening

QUIZ BACK WHERE IT BELONGS!

We would like to take this time to thank the Nags Head for looking after our quiz for us during our un-expected closure. BUT now the time has come for us to host our quiz again in our building. We will not be ready to open up during the daytime for normal service BUT we just cannot wait any longer to have our friends, customers and family back with us, especially the wonderful and supertastic JOHN MARSHALL the dude from the radio and local star! We plan on gradually re-opening the Bistro throughout July and be back as normal by August with plenty of activities planned for the little ones during summer. Keep your eyes on social media for more updates.

Meet the team

Meet our CRAZY but lovely Bistro team

Tammi Franklin

The Director (The Boss)
& Front of House Goddess

Tammi's background is in retail and psychology. This 44 year, slightly crazy lady, with a 10 year old girl in tow, is quirky and loves anything Marvel. She is a self confessed geek and loves it. Tammi has great ideas going forward with the Bistro and loves working within the team she has created.

Her super power would be time travel.

Nicola Brooksbank

The Director (Bistro Bakes)
& Chef

Nicola is from the world of teaching. A crazy and enigmatic History teacher, who has successfully moved into the world of catering and is loving it! A world of difference away from the classroom but remains forever creative and identifiable. Through cooking her way Nic has lost over 8 Stone, so you will find lots of Gluten Free and Slimming options on our menu. She is known for being clumsy!

Her super power would be invisibility - Although, Connor does not agree - as how can he help when Nicky hurts herself and he can't save her!

Connor Scaife

Sous Chef (Fully Proclaimed Kitchen Manager)

Connor, The jack of all trades. Connor is a core team member who is not only relied upon, but is essential to the kitchen running smoothly. Our exhausted first aider... and that is just with Nicky's entries into the first aid book! Connor often appears out of no where to save the day.

His super power would be flight

Sky McCreadie

Front of House & Kitchen

Sky is one of our newest members of the team. She has taken to her role like a duck to water. She had only had 2 shifts prior to the accident and has stuck by our side throughout and for that we are so so very grateful. You are a star in the sky Sky!

Sky's superpower would be being able to fly

Front of House

Lacey Cook

Front of House

Lacey has a lovely personality and is also moving on with her career aiming for her dream job as a paramedic but you still see her around on Saturdays You will see Lacey with her beautiful Russian lashes serving you a mean Frappuccino! She is also our Cocktail Barista in training.

Her super power would be mind reading

Willow Eggett

Front of House

Willow is a powerhouse! Reliable and always willing to lend a hand. Any extra shifts going she is on it... you will always see her putting her name forward and being pro-active! Keep up the great work Willow.

Her super power would be speed

Libby Gilliot

Saturday Front of House

Libby is our longest serving member of staff. She started in the kitchen but you will now see her out front serving customers. She was our February employee of the month for her willingness to learn and readiness to take on new challenges.

Her super power would be time travel

Ciara, Alex & Leah

Pot Wash

Our wonderful team of pot washers! All really good at helping keep the kitchen tidy and clear working tiresley alongside our cooks and chefs! That is not easy - especially with some of us! mentioning no names.....

Violet, Storme & Lauren

Occasional Staff

You will usually see these guys on our events evenings and when we require extra staff members to help. Don't be afraid to say hi - they are all lovely!

A BIT OF HISTORY

Great Food in a Great Place

We are a family run business established in 2019. Nic mainly started up because she was part of Slimming World and there was nowhere she could really go and eat. So an idea turned into reality and Nice and Naughty was open for business situated at 31 Queen Street, Market Rasen. The Covid Pandemic then hit and we had to shut the doors on and off for just over a year. But our little business was still growing stronger and stronger, as we kept going with home food deliveries, which we still do to this day. Our meals on wheels service continues serving both the local community and schools. Our Afternoon Teas have won many awards and these can also be delivered, and are now popular as staff appreciation boxes with local businesses. We also serve three local businesses with their meeting lunches, which we are very proud to be a part of and asked to do.

Fast forward to today... Tammi, who has been with us for about a year now and has taken on 50% of the business. As the outside catering grew Nic couldn't do both sides alone anymore and this is where Tammi comes in. She has taken on the challenge of the day to day running of the Bistro, whilst, Nic concentrates on the outside catering.

You will also notice we've had a few little changes to what once was a tiny little bistro. We have moved premises and rebranded too. Nice and Naughty is still the company name, but the Bistro now trades as The Bistro Bar & Kitchen, located at 53-55 Queen Street. We still have the old values, but we have brought in new ones too.

We are now not, just, a slimming bistro. We strive to cater for more groups of people including; those who are gluten free, vegan and vegetarian. We aim to offer choice with home-cooked comfort food too, with a little of the extravagant from our Bistro by Night and Brunch menus. So if you want deep fried chips, a burger or a healthy salad - YOU CAN! We are family, walker, dog and cyclist friendly - with a safe lock up point behind the bistro.  Call ahead if you are a cyclist or pop in so we can open the secure lock up for you! Every little helps... We are also a member of Dog Friendly Lincolnshire and situated on Sustrans 1 for cyclists!
