Nic started baking at an early age with her Grandma. The Greenwood & Lumb family are infamous in Yorkshire for their outside catering with many of Nicola's aunts owning and running cafes. Mum even owned her own transport cafe in the 1990s. Mum and Grandma were both trained in Royal Icing from the Royal School of London and were at their height in the 1970s & 1980s icing and decorating everything, including Ostrich eggs. Nic carries on in their tradition and is under her mums direction on many of the big wedding cakes, but is now starting to excel in her own style. It is safe to say she comes from a very creative family with a long history in catering. Aunty Carol's buffet's were EPIC! It is rare we can get her out of retirement now.. but when we do.. my lord they are good!

Celebration Cakes
A mum and daughter team with over 50yrs of experience baking and designing cakes. Mum is Royal Icing trained and began making cakes in the 1970s, whilst Nic has trained alongside her since she was a child. A creative team here to help you design the cake for your occasion.
Cooperate Catering
From cupcakes to buffets for work meetings we can assist you. We work with many companies already! Your logo on a cupcake - easy! How about 400... yes we can do that!
Outside Catering
We have a range of cold buffet packages to suit all occasions with plenty of homemade yummy goodies, that you have begun to expect from us. We also offer BBQ packages during the summer months.
Harriet Horsebox
Harriet is our newest addition to the team. A beautifully decorated horsebox with the ability to serve alcohol as well as food/canapes. She is perfect for any occasion.
Harriet Catering & Alcohol Packages
Whilst you can still order the same packages as we did with Bertie; standard, pie & peas, jacket potato with fillings, loaded hotdogs and pork/stuffing baps. Waffles, pancakes and homemade cakes. We can now offer alcohol packages for your events with canapes! Enquire about our 2024 packages that include; Strawberries & Prosecco, Gin & Cocktails, Artisan Cider & Beers. Let's not forget Christmas with Bailey's Hot Chocolates, Mulled Wine and homemade Mince Pies! Having a wedding.... Harriet is the perfect evening accompaniment!

From smash boxes, postal cake cards, appreciation boxes, giant cookies and bespoke bakes - we do it all.
Celebration Cakes
We offer a bespoke service designing your cake to your occasion. We do everything from the simple buttercream party cake, all the way through to 3 tier wedding cakes.
Take a look at our order booklet. We get very booked up so it is wise to ask about your date as early as you can. £5 reserves your date and then you can discuss design, type and style you require later.
Collect a paper copy from inside the Bistro
Take a look at our different packages; from small to large gatherings, children's buffets and individual boxes or just individual buffet trays. We have options to suit a range of budgets. Be aware that there is a staff charge if you require them at your event and there may be a delivery charge. All our trays remain the property of the Bistro and are required to be returned.

Bespoke Wedding Cakes
Whilst Nic loves to do Wedding cakes it has come time to hand in the towel due to her athritis. If you need catering and cupcakes we can still help you out, perhaps even smaller wedding cakes. But the days of the big cakes are sadly over!
